Recently my friend Adam Poehlmann has been getting chest pains but none of us knew about it. They were getting worse so he decided to go to the hospital to get it checked out. When they took an x-ray of him it looked as if he had an enlarged heart so he stayed the night at the hospital. The next day, after examination, they found out that his heart wasn't enlarged, and that there was a tumor in between his heart and his lungs. The doctors said if he wasn't so tall he would of had more trouble breathing. His type of cancer is lymphatic cancer which is a type of neoplasm that originates in lymphocytes (a type of white blood cell in the vertebrate immune system). They often originate in lymph nodes, presenting as an enlargement of the node, or a tumor. Ol' Rockhands has a 85 - 95% chance of getting out plus they caught it fairly early. And with technology these days, he's definitely coming home to shred, except this time he'll be bald. So last night we visited him in the hospital and bought him Ride the Sky, the Beauty and the Beast tour video, and Semi-Pro, along with some magazines and cards.
